Caring for Your Skin
RF & Ultrasonic Device Guide
A calm, beginner-friendly routine for using your Vossaire device safely and getting the most from your ritual. RF uses gentle warmth to help improve the appearance of firmer, smoother skin; the ultrasonic applicators cleanse the face and deliver a soothing, spa-style massage ritual for the look of refreshed skin.
How each technology works
Radiofrequency (RF)
RF delivers gentle, comfortable warmth to the skin. Over a course of regular rituals it helps improve the appearance of firmer, smoother, more lifted-looking skin, and leaves a temporary fresh, plumped glow.
Ultrasonic
The ultrasonic applicator vibrates thousands of times per second. Depending on how you use it, it helps deep-cleanse by loosening dirt and oil from pores, gently smooths the look of texture, and helps improve the appearance of puffiness through a light micro-massage.
The ultrasonic massage ritual (face & body)
On the body, the ultrasonic applicator delivers a soothing, spa-style ultrasonic massage ritual. It is a relaxing, warming sensation designed to help improve the appearance of smoother, more sculpted-looking skin — paired with RF afterward to help the area look firmer.
Before you start
- Read your device manual — settings and timings vary.
- Do a 24-hour patch test on your jawline if your skin is sensitive.
- Make sure the device is charged.
- Have a water-based or conductive gel ready — essential for RF; never use RF on dry skin.
- Remove makeup and start with clean skin.
Always use a conductive gel with RF
Your weekly routine
| Step | Mode | Frequency | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cleanse | Ultrasonic | 2–3× / week | 3–5 min |
| Exfoliate (scrubber) | Ultrasonic | 1–2× / week | 5 min |
| Firm & lift | RF | 2–3× / week | 10–15 min |
Step-by-step facial session
1. Cleanse
Wash with a gentle cleanser and pat almost dry. Spread a thin, even layer of conductive gel, then run the ultrasonic applicator in slow, upward and outward strokes across forehead, cheeks, nose and jaw. Wipe away any residue when done.
2. Apply conductive gel
Spread a generous, even layer of conductive (or water-based aloe) gel over the area you’ll work on. The skin should feel slippery.
3. RF ritual
Turn on the RF applicator and select a comfortable warmth level (start low). Move it in continuous, slow upward and outward strokes — never hold it still. Keep the metal contacts flush to the skin, working zone by zone: cheeks, jawline, forehead, neck. It should feel pleasantly warm, never hot or painful. Reapply gel if it dries out.
4. Lock in serum
Wipe off the gel and apply a hydrating serum (hyaluronic acid works well), gently patting it in until absorbed. Finish with moisturiser.
5. Sunscreen (mornings)
Warmth and exfoliation can make skin more sun-sensitive. Always finish a daytime routine with SPF 30+.
Body ritual: RF + ultrasonic massage
When using your device on the body (abdomen, hips, thighs, arms), the order is simple: the soothing ultrasonic massage ritual first, then RF over the same zone to help the skin look firmer.
Before each body session
- Hydrate well — drink plenty of water before and after your ritual.
- Apply a generous layer of conductive gel so the applicator glides smoothly.
- Keep the applicator moving in slow, continuous strokes — never hold it still.
During & after
- Treat one zone at a time; follow with RF using slow strokes — warm, never hot.
- Space sessions a few days apart and stay consistent — appearance benefits build gradually.
- Keep drinking water and moisturise to support that fresh, cared-for feel.
A ritual, not a shortcut
Aftercare & best practices
- Clean the device after every use — wipe the head with a soft cloth.
- Hydrate well and moisturise; RF can feel mildly drying.
- Be consistent — a firmer-looking result from RF builds over 4–8 weeks.
- Don’t overdo it — more sessions don’t mean faster results and can irritate skin.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
Safety: when not to use these devices
Do not use near eyes, ears or thyroid
Also avoid RF and/or ultrasonic devices if any of these apply, and check with a doctor when unsure:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic/metal device (RF especially).
- You have active breakouts, open wounds, sunburn, eczema, or rosacea flares on the area.
- You have metal implants, fillers, or recent injectables in the area — wait and ask your provider.
- You have a history of skin cancer or undiagnosed lesions.
- Avoid broken capillaries and any area that feels irritated.
- If you have a medical condition, take blood thinners, or are recovering from surgery, check with your healthcare provider first.
If you feel burning, sharp pain, or notice prolonged redness or blistering, stop immediately and let your skin recover.
